My name is Kene Bolondia, and my love for skincare began quietly at the front desk of a dermatology clinic in the British Virgin Islands. Watching the care, precision, and intention given to skin sparked something in me. I saw how understanding the skin could change not only its health, but how people felt in their own bodies.
That curiosity led me to nursing school, where I deepened my knowledge of the body, even as my heart remained rooted in skincare. I became especially aware of how often skin of colour is misunderstood and how many products and conversations fail to truly consider us.
As a Black woman, I wanted more. More understanding. More intention. More care.
This space is a reflection of that desire. It is a place to learn, explore, and honor the skin, with a focus on education, inclusivity, and thoughtful care. Because our skin deserves to be understood, not overlooked.
